Building a Digital ID system for India would definitely have to be different than for the US. If you want to deeply integrate the ID system everywhere, even edge cases’ throughput is going to be so high that you would need to build a highly efficient system to handle such scenarios (similar to the customer support throughputs faced by many new-age startups).

Still, there is much to wonder: if you were to grade each of the government workflows and processes that the public has to go through in terms of their carbon footprint, where would common processes like Aadhaar and driving licenses land?
